Whilst these can all be carried out as discrete treatments they are more commonly combined with others as part of a bespoke course of treatments. We have put together a few Treatment Banquet options but we are happy to advise you to build your own Treatment Banquet based on your own individual needs.

Tiempe Zen – AcuBalance Therapy

This is a simple balancing and tonifying treatment used to complement other treatments. It is suitable for everyone and can be offered as a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) acupuncture or KHT (Korean Hand Therapy) needle-free treatment. It is an ideal accompaniment to SPMU and standalone aesthetic treatments such as skin peels, hydraspa facials and micro-needling. This simple Tiempe Zen AcuBalance Therapy accompanies all treatments unless the more complex Tiempe No 1 AcuBalance Plus Therapy is selected.

Tiempe AcuBalance Plus Therapy

This is a bespoke balancing and tonifying treatment based on a full consideration of presenting pattern diagnosis. It can be carried out as a discrete treatment or as an accompaniment to other therapies. It is recommended that when seeking treatment for specific skin conditions such as rosacea or acne then a full bespoke TCM diagnosis is performed.

Micro-Needling

At Tiempe we offer several skin needling options to treat a range of skin issues and as you would expect we incorporate a Tiempe Zen balancing and tonifying therapy into every treatment. There are several different names for skin needling, for example, mesotherapy, collagen induction therapy, derma-rollering, digital skin needling, micro-needling, micro-lifting, derma-stamping, dermapen, dry needling and so on. In theory, they all aim to create a mini trauma that stimulates collagen and elastin growth and make channels in the skin to aid penetration of products, however not all skin needling techniques are equal and not all skin care serums are as effective.

At Tiempe, we offer 5 different types of skin needling, depending on the aims of the treatment, for example, whether we are treating scars, improving skin texture, treating wrinkles, hydrating the skin and so on.

  • Cosmetic  Acupuncture Lift
  • Meso-Needling
  • Micro-Lifting
  • Targeted Skin Needling
  • Deep Micro-Needling

See below for an explanation of these different micro-needling therapies. We offer both manual needling using acupuncture and intradermal needles and digital needling using a machine. We use the best quality and thinnest of acupuncture needles and our digital machines are German-engineered using the latest technologies. Our skin serums use the finest of ingredients, harnessing the powers of nature and science. Many of our products are made specifically for us and others come from manufacturers who share the same values around proven efficacy, non-animal testing and looking after the planet.

Whilst all these needling options can be done as standalone treatments, some are best used in combination with other treatments for greater effect. This can be discussed as part of a free skin consultation to ensure you choose the right treatment/s for your skin, helping you to select a bespoke Treatment Banquet designed for your specific needs.

Cosmetic Acupuncture Lift

As you might expect from a clinic that combines the best of Eastern and Western therapies we offer the original form of skin needling – acupuncture. A Cosmetic Acupuncture Lift is Traditional Chinese Medicine facial rejuvenation treatment where single-use ultra-fine needles are inserted into the face. A Cosmetic Acupuncture Lift can be carried out as a standalone treatment but for best results we recommend that it is combined with other treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, hydraspa therapy, Gua Sha, cupping or photo dynamic light therapy. Facial cosmetic acupuncture revitalises your face and skin – it is simple, safe and efficient, an effective treatment for producing a younger looking, firmer, healthier looking appearance. Acupuncture is a painless treatment that requires no anaesthetic. A course of around 6 weekly treatments are recommended followed by monthly maintenance treatments. Cosmetic Acupuncture is ideal to include in a Treatment Banquet in combination with other types of therapies or needling options.

At only 0.13mm thin our acupuncture needles are half the size of the needle shown in the picture making for a pain-free experience.

Meso-Needling (also known as Meso Vytal, Meso Me and Amiea Vytal)

This is a more gentle micro-needling therapy suitable for most skin types and clients who can take minimal trauma and down time. It uses a sterile single-use plastic 18-point needle cartridge and any redness usually disappears within a couple of hours. The points penetrate to a maximum of 0.3mm allowing a serum containing a cocktail of ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, anti-oxidants, collagens and stem cells to penetrate below the skin’s epidermis layer. The treatment does not require any anaesthetic and it can be combined with other treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, hydraspa therapy, Gua Sha and photo dynamic light therapy. Meso needling is ideal to:

  • Improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improve skin texture and tone
  • Hydrate and plump the skin
  • Brighten the appearance of skin.

It can be used on all areas of the face including the delicate upper and lower eye area and is also suitable for the décolletage and hands.

Results can be seen after just one treatment: a course of 6 twice-monthly treatments are recommended followed by quarterly maintenance treatments.

Micro-Lifting

Micro-Lifting is a moderate skin needling therapy suitable for most skin types. Depending upon the specific treatment aims, down time can vary from minimal epidermal trauma to up to 1 day of healing and down time (although redness usually disappears within a few hours). It uses a sterile single-use 6-point metal needle cartridge that penetrates to a maximum of 0.5mm. Working at a speed of 150 pulsations per second the digital needling machine creates 900 channels per second to transport serum to the epidermal and dermal levels thus allowing for optimal penetration of active ingredients and maximum collagen stimulation. The specialised needle cartridge allows stimulation of new collagen fibres without causing excess epidermal damage associated with other types of needling such as dermarollers. Most treatments do not require the use of anaesthetics. Micro-Lifting is ideal to:

  • Improve the appearance of fine and deeper lines and wrinkles
  • Improve skin texture and tone
  • Improve the appearance of small facial scars and acne scarring
  • Brighten the appearance of skin.

It is suitable for use on the face, décolletage and hands. Working at a shallower depth and slower speed it can also be used on the delicate eye area. A course of 6 x 3 weekly treatments is recommended followed by quarterly maintenance treatments.

Targeted Skin Needling (also known as MCA, multi-trepannic collagen actuation or dry needling)

Targeted Skin Needling or MCA is an effective treatment for improving the appearance of scars and wrinkles. It is a precisely controlled needling technique that can achieve corrective results with minimal dermal trauma. Unlike dermal rollers that needle all the skin in a particular area regardless of whether it requires treatment or not, MCA allows for a very precise treatment – it doesn’t needle ‘good skin’ that doesn’t need treatment. It is suitable for use on the face or body and the use of smaller needles allows treatment to parts of the face that are difficult to access with bigger needling devices such a blepharoplasty scars, scars around the nasal area and deep lines around the lips.   Targeted Skin Needling is usually done after applying a topical local anaesthetic. The needles scratch the area being treated and afterwards it will look red – almost as if you had been scratched by a kitten – but healing is rapid. With a short downtime of only a few days until the ‘scratches’ heal, this treatment is not as gentle as Meso Needling or Micro Lifting but it will produce better long-term results for scars and deep-set wrinkles. This technique can be used successfully for the following corrective treatments:

  • To decrease the depth of pitted, depressed, or shallow scars, for example ice pick, box car or rolling scars caused by acne, chicken pox, surgeries or trauma
  • To flatten surgical scars that are raised or hypertrophic (overgrown)
  • To relax and break down contracted scar tissue formed from burns or accidents – these types of scars have often caused limited mobility and flexibility
  • To stimulate melanin in the skin that has been compromised from laser treatments
  • Improve the appearance of deep set wrinkles.

A course of monthly treatments is recommended with the number of treatments required being dependent on the nature of the specific skin condition.

Deep Micro-Needling

Deep Micro-Needling is an intense skin needling technique often used in place of or alongside Targeted Skin Needling, for example to cover larger areas of skin. It is suitable for use on the face or body and can be used with or without serums. It uses a sterile single-use 6-point metal needle cartridge that penetrates to a maximum of 1.5mm. Working at a speed of 150 pulsations per second the digital needling machine creates 900 channels per second to transport serum to the dermal levels thus allowing for optimal penetration of active ingredients, where necessary and maximum collagen stimulation. The specialised needle cartridge allows stimulation of new collagen fibres without causing excess epidermal damage associated with other types of needling such as dermarollers. Deep Micro-Needling is usually done after applying a topical local anaesthetic. The area being treated will look red afterwards but healing is usually rapid although depending on the nature of the skin condition/area being treated then downtime may be a few days with this treatment, hence this is not as gentle as Meso Needling or Micro Lifting but will produce better long-term results for scars and deep-set wrinkles. Deep Micro-Needling is ideal to:

  • To decrease the depth of pitted, depressed, or shallow scars, for example ice pick, box car or rolling scars caused by acne, chicken pox, surgeries or trauma.
  • To flatten surgical scars that are raised or hypertrophic (overgrown).
  • To relax and break down contracted scar tissue formed from burns or accidents – these types of scars have often caused limited mobility and flexibility.
  • To stimulate melanin in the skin that has been compromised from laser treatments
  • Improve the appearance of stretch marks across large areas.

A course of monthly treatments is recommended with the number of treatments required being dependent on the nature of the specific skin condition.

Skin Peels

As we age, the automatic process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down, hence sometimes the body needs a little help. The removal of the dead skin cells reveals the softer more youthful looking skin cells underneath. Skin peels are used to improve the appearance of the skin, increase circulation and provide a ‘healthy glow’ as the remaining layers of skin increase the production of new skin cells to renew the surface layer. Specialist skincare products such as those containing antioxidants are usually incorporated into skin peel treatments to speed up and increase this dermal renewal. All Tiempe skin peel treatments include a Korean Hand Therapy treatment and an express FaceFit™ workout and Cryo Massage, unless a full FaceFit™ work is booked.

At Tiempe we offer a range of different skin peeling treatments:

  • Chemical Peels (a range of AHA and BHA acids of varying strengths)
  • Diamond Peel (also know as Diamond Dermabrasion)
  • Hydro Peel (also known as Hydro Dermabrasion)
  • Ultrasonic Peel (also know as Ultrasonic Scrubbing)

There are pros and cons to each of these skin peeling techniques and a regular skin care programme is likely to incorporate all these techniques at various times. Some techniques are more suited to particular skin types and conditions, and different skin peel techniques can be used together for a greater impact.

Chemical Peels

These comprise a range of natural skin peels that are ideal as standalone treatments or for preparing the skin prior to a course of skin rejuvenation treatments. They can be carried out on the face, décolletage, scalp, hands or other parts of the body such as stomach, thighs and bum. Our peels include Glycolic Acid,  Lactic Acid, and Mandelic Acid of varying strengths which can be used separately or together as a layered peel for greater effect. All Tiempe chemical peels are suitable for all skin types (skin types 1-6 on the Fitzpatrick scale) but some are more suited to particular uses.

A Triple Layered Peel is a treatment that combines all 3 types of peels for a more holistic effect. A thin layer of glycolic acid is covered by a thin layer of lactic acid which is then covered by a thin layer of mandelic acid. The complete triple layer peel will be left on for up to 12 minutes depending on skin type and presenting skin condition.

Hydro Peel (also known as Hydra Dermabrasion, Aqua Dermabrasion, HydraSpa, HydroCleanse, HydroFacial)

Hydro Dermabrasion uses a hand-held wand with a specially shaped spiral tip,  using vortex technology which exfoliates and removes impurities alongside delivering pneumatically applied serums that cleanse, hydrate and provide antioxidant infusion during the treatment process.

The Hydro Peel tip has multiple abrasive edges, meaning that the skin is exfoliated several times as the tip is moved across it in a planing motion, whilst the cleansing serums that are infused during the treatment soften the skin and sebum making it much easier to extract away impurities. Once the cleansing processes are completed, the skin is infused with oxygen and replenishing serums. Other therapies can also be carried out at this stage such as ILLUMINATION photo dynamic light therapy. All treatments finish with an express FACEFIT workout and cryo massage unless a full FACEFIT workout is planned.

Hydro Dermabrasion is a gentler form of treatment than Diamond Dermabrasion and is ideal for hydrating the skin. It is suitable for most skin types with minimal downtime – any redness usually disappears with 30 minutes.

 DEEP CLEANSE

For a thorough deep cleanse, different skin peel therapies can be combined in the same treatment plan, for example, a chemical peel can be performed, followed by a Hydra Cleanse and an Ultrasonic Scrub – this combined treatment is ideal to first loosen the dead skin cells and soften the outer plug in the pores, remove the dead skin cells and suction away the outer softened sebum from the outer part of the pores, vibrate and remove the remaining sebum. Once the cleansing processes are completed, the skin is infused with oxygen and replenishing serums. Other therapies can also be carried out at this stage such as ILLUMINATION photo dynamic light therapy. All treatments finished with an express FACEFIT workout and cryo massage unless a full FACEFIT workout is planned.

Diamond Dermabrasion (also known as Diamond Peel)

Diamond Dermabrasion is carried out using a range of diamond tips attached to a vacuum handpiece. It does not use crystals, hence avoids the risks of damage to eyes caused by stray crystals.

  • Improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improve skin texture and tone
  • Brighten the appearance of skin.

It usually used on the face but is also suitable for other parts of the body such as the upper arms and thighs.

Results can be seen after just one treatment: a course of 6 x monthly treatments are recommended followed by quarterly maintenance treatments.

Micro-Current Therapy (also called Non-Surgical Face Lift or BIO Current Therapy)

Micro-current stimulation delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s own natural bio electrical field. In most cases, treatment is virtually sub-sensory, with just a slight electrical tingling sensation.

Originally developed for treating facial palsy, micro-current therapy is now also used widely in physiotherapy for pain control and in hospitals for wound healing. As an aesthetic treatment, micro-current stimulation has been shown to have several other cosmetic benefits:

•   re-educates muscles,
•   increases blood and lymph circulation ,
•   enhances the penetration of the active ingredients of skin care formulations
•   increases the production of collagen and elastin
•   increases protein synthesis, gluconeogenesis and cell membrane transport
•   increases mitochondria activity , adenosine triphosphate  (ATP)

Micro-current in aesthetics is commonly described as facial toning or non-surgical face lifting” due to the dramatic lifting effect that micro-current has on facial muscles and facial contours.

Micro-current therapy uses a current with an intensity of less than one millionth of an amp (< 1mA) and because of its low intensity it doesn’t cause a physical or visual contraction of the muscle, instead micro-current stimulation works by a process called muscle re-education.

Combining ultra-low frequencies with a modified waveform enables the micro-current to recharge the electrical potential of the muscle by stimulating the spindle cell fibres that run the length of the muscle and attach to the golgi tendon organ in the belly of the muscle.
During treatment facial muscles are physically manipulated using 2 hand held wands that transmit the micro-current impulses.

Working a muscle from belly outward will have a lengthening, relaxing effect that is necessary for muscles that have become contracted over years of facial expression, for example frown lines. Working a muscle from the origin and insertion point inward will have a shortening effect that is necessary for most of the muscles that have become elongated over time due to age and gravity.

The benefits of micro-current are cumulative and typically a course of 12 treatments will be required for optimum results. Micro-current therapy is offered as part of a FaceFit™ workout.

LVL Lashes

Tiempe doesn’t usually offer traditional beauty type treatments but LVL Lashes are a fantastic way to open up the eyes, making your face look fresher and younger. The treatment doesn’t involve any lash extensions or false lashes – it makes the most of your own lashes. We have seen the difference it can make to people so we have decided to add it to our menu of treatments. It is a fantastic standalone treatment but looks even better when combined with a SPMU eyeliner lash enhancement treatment.

Created exclusively by Nouveau Lashes, LVL Enhance is the revolutionary natural lash treatment taking the beauty industry by storm.

LVL straightens your natural eyelashes at the root, so unlike a traditional lash perm it creates the effect of longer, lifted lashes in just 40 minutes. They’ll stay that way for six to eight weeks, especially when you nurture your lashes with Nouveau Lashes’ Conditioning Serum. The results are immediate, plus the added lash tint creates a mascara-type effect so you are always ready to go. All this for £45.
